Partner with Costume Source

As a dance teacher, you’ve probably got costumes sitting unused — why not let them earn money for you? We make it simple: you send, we hire, you earn.

● How it works

Make money from your unused dance costumes

You send

Send us the costumes we’ve agreed on. We’ll handle everything from there.

We hire

We hire your costumes as if they were our own and manage every detail.

You earn

Each time your costumes are hired, you receive a share of the hire fee.

We cover all costs, including shipping, storage, cleaning, and marketing. Your costumes always remain yours — we simply help you make the most from them.

● Good to know

Your questions

How do I get started?
add

Send us an email and tell us about what you have.

If your costumes sound suitable, we'll send you a shipping label so you can send them to us. We'll go through everything, hang on to the costumes we want, and send anything else back to you. We'll add the costumes we've kept to our system and they'll become available for hire.

Why shouldn't I just hire my costumes out myself?
add

Hiring out costumes might sound easy — but behind the scenes, it’s a massive operation.

With years of experience, a skilled team, and advanced systems, we take care of everything. Costume Source have the largest market share in the UK, so your costumes will reach more potential customers than anywhere else.

What about quality?
add

Quality is really important to us.

We will only accept good quality garments with no signs of wear and tear.

How do you work out hire prices?
add

We use years of hire data to set fair, consistent prices.

We don’t compete on price or undervalue your items just to make a sale — we price for quality, demand, and style.

Are there restrictions to the costumes I can submit?
add

We don't do cheap and nasty and we don't do fancy dress!

We are interested in any costumes that we already stock. If we don't already stock it, we are only interested if you have at least ten (but hopefully many more). Apart from that, there is no upper or lower limit to the number of costumes you can submit to us.

How much could I make?
add

It depends on what you send and how often it hires — but most partners make hundreds of pounds each month.

It’s a simple way to be part of our growth and earn more than if your costumes were just sitting in storage.

When do I get paid?
add

We'll pay you at the end of each month automatically via bank transfer.

There are no targets, no caps, and no hidden fees — just straightforward payments.

Won't you make sure your costumes go out instead of mine?
add

No.

Our allocation system is completely automated to ensure even usage and fair rotation.

What about when I need them?
add

Just let us know (in good time!) and we'll book them out for you.

We'll send them to you ready for your show and you send them back to us when you are done. You won’t pay (or be paid) for using your own costumes!

How will my costumes be stored?
add

It is in our interest to look after all our stock!

Your costumes are kept in our fully insured, clean, and secure Sparkle Fulfilment Centre — the same way we store our own stock.

Sizing tips

check_circle The most important measurement is the Girth.

check_circle If a dancer is between two sizes, always opt for the larger size.

check_circle Because we stock lots of different styles from lots of different manufacturers, we standardise our sizes to make it easier for you.

Girth
With them standing straight, measure from the top of one shoulder, down the fullest part of their chest, through their legs and back up to the same shoulder.

Bust
With their arms down at their sides, measure the fullest part of their chest.

Waist
Ask them to bend to one side and place the start of the measure at the natural indentation. Once they have straightened up, measure from this point around the waist.

Hips
With their feet together, measure around the fullest part of their hips and bum.

Inseam
With them barefooted, measure the inner leg from their crotch to the floor.
