FAQs

How do I get started? Send us an email and tell us about what you have.

If your costumes sound suitable, we'll send you a shipping label so you can send them to us (at our expense).

We'll then go through everything. We'll hang on to the costumes we want and send anything else back to you.

We'll add the costumes we've kept to our system and they'll become available for hire.
Why shouldn't I just hire my costumes out myself? Renting out costumes may seem straightforward, but there's much more to it than meets the eye.

With years of experience, a skilled team, and robust systems in place, we handle everything. We even operate an industrial laundry facility to ensure every costume is in pristine condition.

As the UK's leading dance costume hire company, we have the largest market share, meaning your costumes will reach more potential customers than with any one else.
What about quality? Quality is really important to us. We will only accept good quality garments with no signs of wear and tear. How do you work out hire prices? We use our experience and existing hire data to work out pricing.

We always aim to keep pricing fair, taking in to account a number of factors - not just the purchase price of the costume.

As a business, we never compete on price. We will not undervalue items to drive business or cut the price of your costumes to simply make a sale.
Are there restrictions to the costumes I can submit? We don't do cheap and nasty and we don't do fancy dress!

We are interested in any costumes that we already stock. If we don't already stock it, we are only interested if you have at least ten (but hopefully many more). Apart from that, there is no upper or lower limit to the number of costumes you can submit to us.
How much could I make? This depends on a number of factors. How many costumes you submit, the style and popularity of the costumes, how many others we stock, etc.

That said, many partners make hundreds of pounds each month with us.

Partnering allows you to be part of our growth and ensures your costumes make more money than simply being in storage or even you hiring them out yourself.
When do I get paid? We'll pay you at the end of each month automatically via bank transfer.

We'll pay you for any bookings that have shipped that month.

There are no targets to hit before we make a payment and no ceiling on how much we will pay. We won't deduct 'service fees', 'transfer fees', or anything else like that.
What about storage / cleaning / insurance / shipping / payments / etc.? We take care of all of that. You don't need to worry about (or pay for) a thing. Will you tell me who you have hired my costumes out to? No, we won't disclose our customers' details to you, but we will tell you how many times each item has been hired. What if a costume gets damaged or goes missing? If something happens to one of your costumes while it is on hire and we aren't able to repair or replace it, we'll pay you a replacement cost. Won't you make sure your costumes go out instead of mine? No! Costume allocation is completely automated and worked out when the booking is placed.

Our algorithms ensure costumes go out equally so they have even wear. This also ensures there is no preferential treatment.
What about when I need them? Just let us know (in good time!) and we'll book them out for you. We'll send them to you ready for your show and you send them back to us when you are done. Obviously you won't pay or be paid for using your own costumes! How will my costumes be stored? It is in our interest to look after all our stock! Your costumes will be stored alongside our costumes in our fully-insured, clean, secure, climate-controlled warehouse.

Sizing Tips

The most important measurement is the Girth.

If a dancer is between two sizes, always opt for the larger size.

Because we stock lots of different styles from lots of different manufacturers, we standardise our sizes to make it easier for you.

Girth
With them standing straight, measure from the top of one shoulder, down the fullest part of their chest, through their legs and back up to the same shoulder.

Bust
With their arms down at their sides, measure the fullest part of their chest.

Waist
Ask them to bend to one side and place the start of the measure at the natural indentation. Once they have straightened up, measure from this point around the waist.

Hips
With their feet together, measure around the fullest part of their hips and bum.

Inseam
With them barefooted, measure the inner leg from their crotch to the floor.

All dimensions are in centimeters and should be treated as a guide only.
